Product details

Genuine VM Motori long block for MerCruiser 4.2L 6-cylinder diesel engines. Replaces first-generation 4.2L Tunnel Bore IDI engines (MerCruiser D254 with glow plugs) and D-Tronic engines up to 250 hp (D-Tronic 250).

The block's casting number starts with 49B*. Comes with cylinder head and oil pan pre-installed. Glow plug holes are plugged and can be used with or without glow plugs depending on the injection pump.
